Primary Care Workers
The Dale House community is also committed to training and career development. The goal is two-fold: to offer the opportunity to serve in the Dale House community while taking post-graduate classes with the ultimate objective of helping prepare Primary Care Workers for the opportunities that await them after their year is completed.
Twice yearly, in June and September, college graduates are accepted into the one-year Dale House program to serve as Primary Care Workers to our residents. Students may earn up to 12 units of graduate credits, which can be applied toward a variety of degrees at Fuller or transferred to other academic institutions for degrees in social work or related fields. The project offers post-graduate credit through Fuller Theological Seminary. Our graduate students learn to work effectively with at-risk youth and their families. The result is a unique blending of academic training and practical experience.
